Where Can you Test-Drive a Vacuum Melting System?
Think back to the last time you bought a new car. Did you flip through a brochure, then pick up a phone and place your order? Did you talk to a sale representative at a car dealer and make you purchase based simply on what you were told? Or, did you hop in the car, take it on the road and evaluate how it performed?
I’m 99.99% sure you took the car for a test drive, which leaves me rather perplexed when I hear that some people test drive an automobile that costs at least $20,000, yet have no qualms spending a million dollars on a vacuum furnace without first testing it.
As my customers know, Sophisticated Alloys offers a better way.
I have worked with many customers over the years that have found it extremely beneficial to have access to the five furnaces – which range from a few grams to several hundred pounds capacity –in our applications lab. They come into our facility and test the outcomes on the alloys they want to melt before they purchase a system.
There are three major benefits to this approach. First, a person can test a concept before making a commitment to purchase a vacuum system. Second, since we’ll build the application to your specifications, it can be customized to meet your needs. Third, your research is kept totally confidential since we are completely independent.
Our primary business is melting alloys. However, we understand why some companies have the need to buy their own equipment and melt their alloys in-house.
We invite people to use our applications lab. They discover the exact type of equipment that meets their needs. And, sometimes, they allow us to build them a custom furnace. This has proven to be the best way to ensure our customers get the system that fits their needs exactly.
